When an abandoned keep on the southern shore of Haliaeetus became infested with a writhing, purple mass, everyone considered it a curiosity at most, indeed not anything that presented a danger. But this perception was shattered when Marques Weltroc, heir to the throne, went missing on one of his naval expeditions, and wreckage from his ship washed up on shore covered in the same purple mass. Now, the mass is corrupting the land, the kingdom is threatened, and the reality of the danger has struck close to the Duke’s heart. In a fury, he has called for the aid of adventurers to explore the southern ruins and bring back his son, if possible.
