Cosmic Drifter | Free Monster for D&D and PF2e

Cosmic Drifter | Free Monster for D&D and PF2e

Designed by Ruben Vazquez Jr.
PF2e conversion by David N. Ross

Looking up from a distance, one might mistake these wayward creatures for a star, but closer inspection reveals their humanoid form. Depending on how long the creature has existed in its current form, it may still resemble the individual it once was, but the longer it exists in this form, the more celestial it begins to appear. It will eventually take on the form of a brilliant, spherical, white light that hovers about almost aimlessly.

Enraged Subconscious. After wandering through the endless void for an extended period, these creatures’ strained sanity begins to decline further. They begin their time in this form, often searching for help to return them to their physical body or move on to a plane in which their spirit can rest. Before they can find anyone, they often remain in an enraged state, wherein all they long for is someone to join them in their endless wandering.

Unclaimed Souls. When a soul is out of reach of the gods above and the fiends below, its unclaimed soul remains exactly where its physical body perished. The spirit is able to wander in search of one to claim and care for its soul. Though more often than not, these souls remain lost, wandering the vast nothingness until a living creature sends them to oblivion.

By the way, if you’re a busy GM without enough to time to prep like you know you should, Lairs & Legends 2 can help. Grab an adventure, read it in about 15 minutes, and you’re ready to run your game! With over 700 pages of 5e resources, there’s no reason to feel stressed out and overwhelmed before your next D&D game.
