Soul Reaper | Free Monster for D&D and PF2e

These angels were created with the sole purpose of harvesting good souls to be used to fuel the armies of the heavens.

Soul Harvester. The soul reaper specifically targets good-aligned creatures to have their souls join the angelic host in their battle against evil. It does not kill evil-aligned creatures to prevent possible reinforcement to enemy forces.

Angelic Weapon. The soul reaper’s weapon attacks are magical. When the soul reaper hits with any weapon, the weapon deals an extra 2d8 radiant damage (included in the attack).

Magic Resistance. The soul reaper has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The soul reaper makes two attacks, one Death Touch and one Longsword attack.

Death Touch. Melee Attack: +9 to hit, 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d10) necrotic damage, and the target cannot regain hit points until the end of its next turn. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or have its hit point maximum reduced by the damage dealt by this attack.

Longsword. Melee Attack: +9 to hit, 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8+ 5) slashing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.

Summon Cast Souls (Once Per Day). The soul reaper summons 1d4 Cast Souls. A summoned cast soul appears in an unoccupied space within 60 feet of its summoner and acts as an ally. It remains for 1 minute until it or its summoner dies or dismisses it as an action.

Reaper’s Moratorium (aura, divine, void) 15 feet. Damage dealt to living creatures in the aura can’t be healed until 1 round after it was dealt.

Reactive Strike [reaction] longsword only

Speed 25 feet, fly 50 feet

Melee [one-action] longsword +21 (magical, unholy, versatile P), Damage 2d8+7 slashing plus 1d10 spirit

Melee [one-action] hand +18 (divine, unholy, void), Damage 3d10 void plus sap soul

Divine Innate Spells DC 24; 5th summon celestial (cast soul only); Constant (5th) truespeech

Sap Soul (curse, divine, void) A creature damaged by the soul reaper’s touch must attempt a DC 24 Fortitude save.

                Success The creature is unaffected.

                Failure The creature increases its drained value by 1, to a maximum of drained 4.

                Critical Failure As failure but a creature that was already drained 4 dies instead. Otherwise, the target’s drained value doesn’t reduce from rest until the curse is counteracted (counteract rank 5th, counteract DC 28).
